Loading ...While the club is affiliated to the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) it is not recognised as a RYA teaching centre.
If you are a complete beginner then we suggest that before joining the club you do a ‘taster’ session or a ‘Start windsurfing course’ at Whitlingham Outdoor Centre (RYA approved) at Trowse, Norwich. We offer reduced membership fees to anyone who has taken a course at Whitlingham.

Alternatively if you just want to have a go, then come along to the club’s annual ‘Come n Try Day’, normally held in June (See Events page).
As a beginner or relatively inexperienced windsurfer you may feel nervous about joining a club and then being left to your own devices. The club now has 6 qualified RYA Start Windsurfing instructors and has set up a ‘buddy system’. Any member can contact one of these instructors and arrange to go sailing with them on a 1:1 informal basis.
