We are upgrading the new club boat in a few weeks so this is now for Sale. It’s only been on the water for a maximum of 3 hours and so it’s pretty much brand new. It cost £4,300 and is on eBay at a starting price of £2,500, so its a real bargain for someone.

It comes complete with Road trailer, electric start, 9.9 hp outboard, fuel tank, oars, and as it only 8 months old then I assume it still has the balance of the warranty. To see it on eBay then click here.

Don’t hang around as the eBay sale ends 28 April 2011, and if it’s not sold then it will be traded in for the err ….new new boat.

Regrettably it was not ideal for club use, being smaller than the old boat, therefore we have decided to upgrade to a bigger boat that is much better suited to retrieving multiple windsurfers. The new new boat will not be a sexy as the one for sale however it is a real workhorse and will do everything we need it to, and most importantly will be able to cope with all weathers in case of an emergency.

So here is a pic of the sexy boat for sale… to enlarge.

It has been sold on eBay, collected and paid for, so that’s great news. Should also free up some bandwidth on the internet due to the reduction in committee emailsLaugh So we look forward to getting the replacement club boat, the YAK, very shortly.

The new boat was delivered 10 May and given a thorough test by those qualified to drive it. Everyone was impressed and it looks a great, robust and capable boat which should give excellent service to the club for years to come. Pictures follow later.
