I've had a couple of frustrating days – today included - when I've turned up at the Broad to find sunshine and a howling breeze but no-one else to enjoy the fun. Discretion got the better of me and I've elected not to sail alone on an absolutely deserted stretch of water.
It would be good to have a means of finding out who might be game for a blast – is there a phone around or email system that "regulars" are using already? Am I missing something here? I haven't got a membership list with phone numbers for example.

I'll create a new Forum called "Sailing Plans", in which you can then create new "topics" for each day you plan to go, and see who else is interested. I've seen this work pretty well elsewhere. You can then also subscribe to the topic so you get emailed whenever it's updated – handy if travelling at the time and have a smartphone.
Meanwhile I'll see if there's a more sophisticated way of providing this facility.
