Hickling Windsurfing Club (hereafter known as
HWC) rules require that all members have third party insurance with a minimum
£1,000,000 cover.
HWC recognises that windsurfing is an activity in
which there is a risk of personal injury or death. Participants should be aware
of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and
involvement. HWC cannot be held responsible for members (or their guests) safety.
As the facilities at HWC are available to the
membership at all times it is not possible for HWC to offer any safety cover.
HWC members are responsible for making the decision to sail based on their own
assessment of their abilities and the prevailing conditions.
In the case of members under the age of 18 years,
parental/guardian consent is required for membership of HWC. Parents and
guardians are warned that HWC does not provide rescue facilities. Parents or
guardians must have sole responsibility for their children and wards and must
appreciate that HWC cannot be expected to exercise supervision or control.
